By providing policymakers and citizens with the best available data on the educational, social, economic, and physical well-being of all children in our state, Nevada KIDS COUNT seeks to improve the lives and the futures of all our children.

The goals of the Nevada KIDS COUNT project are to:

KIDS COUNT is a nationwide effort to make policymakers and the general public more aware of the well-being of American children. Every year its sponsor, The Annie E. Casey Foundation, publishes the national KIDS COUNT Data Book, which reports on ten indicators of child well-being for each state.

Nevada KIDS COUNT is the Silver State's KIDS COUNT project, funded by a grant from The Annie E. Casey Foundation to the Center for Business and Economic Research at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, to collect, compile, and publish these statewide and county-level data.
